The family collection from chef/owner Gayle Pirie, is now available to enjoy in Laszlo and will be debuted by guest DJ’s starting at 6:00pm and play through the evening by our VIP vinyl aficionados until 9:30pm.
In house vinyl expert, musician and artist, Mike Apokalypse, has catalogued this canon of work for selective use in Laszlo to celebrate and showcase this monumental collection with certain pressings that even our Mike had never seen. To view the entire compilation, go to http://www.discogs.com/user/LaszloRecords/collection.
A few of the iconic recording artists include legends such as Charlie Parker, Robert Johnson, Vince Gauraldi, Herb Alpert, Duke Ellington, Dave Brubeck, Jimi Hendrix, Little Feat, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Martin Denny, Julie London, Peggy Lee, Tom Jones, Moody Blues, Allman Brothers, Brian Eno, Buck Owens, Charlie Rich, Wayne Newton, OMD, and thousands more.
Rare pressings, first additions, lost live recordings, vintage productions, bootlegs, and hand cut labels will astound any vinyl enthusiast.
Following our record launch, Laszlo will introduce Vinyl Side Thursdays where album sides will be paired thematically with a specially crafted libation that fits the mood, style and mojo of the selected discs. We unveil the first in our series by saluting the suave, comedic high jinx and velvet vocal chords of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin paired with a Laszlo classic Martini.
Stay tuned for future genre/artist/cocktail pairings to come.
