Foreign Cinema is proud to offer several distinctive spaces for private events of up to 500 guests, ranging from passed hors d'oeuvres and cocktails to formal, seated events, day or night, any day of the week. Our chefs tailor the menu to each event, matching seasonal and market availability with guest preferences and Foreign Cinema's unique style of California/Mediterranean cuisine. Our wine director can recommend ideal pairings from a wine list including over 200 selections primarily from California, France and Italy. Finally, our private events manager can assist you in all phases of planning including arrangements for florals, decor, rentals, audio/visual equipment, and entertainment to ensure your total satisfaction. Foreign Cinema is an ideal and festive spot for social events, such as cocktail parties, special occasions, rehearsal dinners and weddings. We have also proven to be a uniquely suited location for corporate events, ranging from cocktail mixers, meetings and presentations, holiday parties, product launches and film festivals.

Modernism West Gallery

Foreign Cinema is proud to offer the Gallery in partnership with acclaimed art dealer Martin Muller of Modernism Inc. This unique, completely private space features stunning, large modern artwork, 18 foot high ceilings, skylights, a "theater quality" surround sound audio/visual system and full bar. The Gallery is easily combined with the adjacent Upper Patio to create an exciting indoor/outdoor environment. In addition, the Courtyard may be combined with the Gallery and Upper Patio for a capacity of 250.
Mezzanine
Click to enlarge	Capacity: 40 seated, 50 standing Approximate size: 400 sq. ft. Our mezzanine overlooking the main dining room offers guests the opportunity to enjoy the theatrical ambiance of Foreign Cinema with exposed beams, concrete walls and wood floors in a semi-private setting. The Mezzanine can also be combined with the adjacent projection room and Director's Table for additional seating or cocktail space.
Director's Table
Click to enlarge	Capacity: 10 seated Approximate size: 150 sq. ft. The Director's Table is a unique, ideal space for a semi-private, VIP dining experience. Diners can enjoy the quiet humming of a vintage 35mm film projector nearby and an unobstructed view of the featured film and restaurant courtyard below.
Upper Patio
Click to enlarge	Capacity: 16 seated, 30 standing Approximate size: 350 sq. ft. The semi-private Upper Patio is the ideal setting for smaller groups and is easily combined with the Gallery for additional outdoor space. A bamboo grove with fountain, partial views of the movie screen, a clear tent, and gas heaters give this space a unique ambiance. Smoking may be permitted in this area of the restaurant at management discretion.
Laszlo
Click to enlarge	Capacity: 100 (30 for upstairs lounge) Approximate size: 700 sq. ft. Laszlo is our own, full-service bar featuring an upstairs VIP lounge, sidewalk seating, and advanced sound system with complete DJ equipment. Laszlo is available both for buyouts for the whole night separate from Foreign Cinema and as an ideal venue for early evening gatherings or for cocktails after dinner. The upstairs lounge in Laszlo with couches and coffee tables is ideal for small gatherings either as a complete, semi-private VIP area within the bar or for table reservations with bottle service.
Entire Restaurant

Large groups can enjoy complete privacy throughout the restaurant with a buyout closed to the general public. Buyouts include all of the spaces above as well as our acclaimed outdoor, heated courtyard (approx. 1100 sq. ft.) and main dining room (approx. 1000 sq. ft.) with fireplace and full bar. Buyouts also include use of our state-of-the-art, "drive-in" quality projection system with 16mm, 35mm and LCD projectors capable of showing anything from laptop-based, slide presentations to full-length feature films.

A 20 percent service charge as well as sales tax is added to all events. Additional charges for special equipment or entertainment depend on the event.
